PayPal reports that an issue is currently affecting checkouts both on the PayPal site and their backend APIs which handle card-based payment authorizations -- indeed, at the moment it appears PayPal account login attempts are stalling out. We'll followup here once they report the issue is resolved.

Live Site Status Update

Resolved: We have experienced a system issue which affected PayPal APIs and PayPal Website on the PayPal Live Site. During the time of the incident PayPal Merchants may have experienced an issue as described below.



PayPal Classic APIs may have resulted in error 10001 "Internal Error"

PayPal REST APIs may have resulted in HTTP 500 "Unknown Error" errors

PayPal users may have experienced a "Sorry - your last action could not be completed" error accessing the PayPal website ( www.paypal.com ) or when making a payment.
