Another note from PayPal, there will be a scheduled period of downtime around midnight on June 16th. Their message as follows:
REMINDER: This is a reminder that we will be performing system maintenance to improve the reliability and quality of our services starting June 16, 11:00 PM PDT (June 17, 6:00 AM GMT, 7:00 AM UK and 8:00 AM Central Europe). Please note that the corrected maintenance start and end time:
Maintenance start time: June 16, 11:00 PM PDT (June 17, 6:00 AM GMT, 7:00 AM UK and 8:00 AM Central Europe).
Maintenance end time: June 17, 1:00 AM PDT (June 17, 8:00 AM GMT, 9:00 AM UK and 10:00 AM Central Europe).
During this maintenance window we are expecting to have PLANNED DOWNTIME of approximately 25 min which is expected to take place sometime between June 16, 11:00 PM PDT (June 17, 6:00 AM GMT, 7:00 AM UK and 8:00 AM Central Europe) and June 16, 11:30 PM PDT (June 17, 6:30 AM GMT, 7:30 AM UK and 8:30 AM Central Europe). As a result, merchants will not be able to process transactions during this time.
During the planned downtime window, the PayPal website ( https://www.paypal.com ) and PayPal APIs (including Express Checkout) will experience a service interruption and buyers attempting to make payments will be unable to do so. We expect that the majority of API requests will not complete and will fail with error 10001 (Internal Error) or time out. Attempts to log in to www.paypal.com will result in an error message.
Other services that will be down during this maintenance include:
* Website Payments Pro Payflow Edition - API requests submitted during the planned downtime window will not complete and may fail with errors 1000 (Generic host error), 102 (Processor not available), 104 (Timeout waiting for processor response) or 109 (Timeout waiting for host response)
* Batch Processing (batch.paypal.com) - processing of batch requests submitted between June 16, 10:00 PM PDT (June 17, 6:00 AM GMT, 7:00 AM UK and 8:00 AM Central Europe) and June 17, 1:30 AM PDT (June 17, 8:30 AM GMT, 9:30 AM UK and 10:30 AM Central Europe)will be delayed.
We will send an update right before the start of the service interruption, and another when our services are back up.
