It appears we or some of our clients' sites are under DDoS attack today, flooding our site with bogus traffic that's shutting out legit connections -- like mobbing a store with decoy customers who don't buy anything, so legitimate customers have a hard time getting in to do business.

Our DevOps team is working on it, looking for any way to identify and block the bogus traffic to restore normal access. We thank you all for your patience and understanding while we wait out the attack and meanwhile work on solutions to fend it off sooner if possible.

Thank you for your note! It happened as I was helping a customer on the phone. He was able to finish his part and I was able to finish my part a couple hours later. Thank you for watching out for us!

This issue appears to be resolved now. We switched to a different type of load-balancing service with our server provisions at Amazon to get better firewall protections that go along with that, and now the problem has abated. Props to our DevOps team for devising this solution so quickly.

This switch should also give us better resiliency against this sort of thing in the future, and seems to have also improved our platform responsiveness as a side benefit. Thanks again to everyone for your patience and understanding; it's been a rough day for us all.
