Hi,
I have a product launch scheduled in a week (I've sent yesterday an email to 4000 leads regarding it's launch date) and I'm facing a major issue.
I live in Brazil and I've always used E-Junkie with no problems, however just yesterday when I tried to test the payment system an error message from PayPal said "Payments from brazilian customers to brazilian merchants must be in BRL". BRL is brazilian's currency.
Originally the transfer would be in USD and PayPal would make the conversion for both sides, just like it will do most of the time.
Now I simply don't know what do, since E-Junkie doesn't support BRL. I've been researching about this for the last 24 hours.
I've tried some of the following...
1. Check if brazilian PayPal clone, PagSeguro, can be used to make payments via E-Junkie (couldn't find the answer, don't know if if can be integrated)
2. Check if there's any way to accept Payments via PagSeguro or PayPal, then give customers a one-time 100% discount code to be used in E-Junkie's shopping cart (however I don't know how can this be automated and it will be too much trouble for the customer)
3. Check if there's any way via E-Junkie to use PayPal in BRL instead of USD using the "currency_code" variable (tried to, but couldn't do it)
4. Research other digital goods systems (none have PDF stamping and affiliate systems)
Will any of the above work? Do you have any other suggestions?
I really appreciate any help. I wasn't expecting for this to happen.
(And the funny thing is that Brazil is a 200 million people country with widespread internet access and we don't have any E-Junkie-like solution to sell digital goods, and now not even BRL support here. If you guys at E-Junkie can manage to fix this, you'll tap into a huge market.)
Take care.
