Setting Up a Sale

When you sell products online, being able to set-up a sale is important. With our old interface, we did have a way to set up a percentage-based discount for a product, but you had to go through a number of steps to be able to set it up.

Luckily, with our new interface the process is much more streamlined. To start you will want to click on the “Discounts & Gift Coupons” link on the right side of the Seller Admin page.  The page that comes up will look like this:

You will then want to fill in the details, for this test I am going to enter in the following details:

• Discount name - Product 1
• Discount Applies To - Item Unit Price
• The Product drop down menu - Product 1
• Discount amount - 25
• The type drop down menu set to - % Off
• Discount Code(s) - TEST1

The page now looks like this:

Now the only thing to do is click the Apply button to save the new discount.

You can of course fill in the expiration options and order requirements if you want. Keep in mind, that if you want the discount to be automatic, you will want to leave the Discount Code field blank.
