For my most recent transaction, processed on September 18, the details of the transaction were not sent to PayPal, only the fact that a payment arrived. This order included both a download and tangible items; a transaction just a few hours earlier, for a tangible item only, worked just fine.

In the past I have printed my packing slips and postage from PayPal. If this is a new norm, I will have to log into e-junkie to find out what the customer bought, figure out how to print a packing slip from e-junkie, then go to PayPal to print the postage. Turning a one step process into a multiple step process.

I hope this is a bug and not a new workflow process.

Thanks.

I see you've emailed us with more specifics about the affected transaction, so we'll continue the discussion there if necessary.

I have the same problems, some times it doesn't show the specific of the item. Is not only him - give us the answer here:-)

All we could determine in that case was that we'd sent all the proper order and item details to PayPal as usual for checkout, but the IPN we received back from them confirming completed payment was missing item details, suggesting some glitch at PayPal's end lost the item details, which would explain why those details don't show up in their records. Unfortunately, we have no control or scrutiny over PayPal's processing of the order details we transmit to them, so if something at their end goofs up, we generally have no clue why.

Your E-junkie Transaction Log should always have accurate buyer, address and item details, so we'd recommend using that as your primary reference for order fulfillment, and only rely on PayPal's records for financial purposes (e.g., monetary figures for tax and accounting documentation).

If you are seeing payments in PayPal which aren't showing up in your E-junkie Transaction Log at all, that's a different problem; in this case, please follow the troubleshooting steps here to sort out the reason why:
