Stupid question I'm sure but the demo page has a "Buy Now" button on it. The PayPal Payments Pro does not have this button. If I have a PayPal Payments Pro account can I use the "Buy Now" button?

I'm guess the answer is "of course" but want to be sure.

Umm, thanks for the response but that doesn't clarify much for me.

I've done some more reading on this. The Buy Now button is not used for PayPal Website Payments Pro. We instead have to use the E-Junkie shopping cart. Can I get some additional clarification on the following:

The PayPal site says the following about Website Payments Pro:

- Your customers shop and pay on your website.

How does this work with E-Junkie? Does the shopping cart handle the first point?

Any help appreciated.

Buy Now buttons bypass our cart and take buyers directly to instant checkout for just one item at a time. PayPal Pro requires that if you're going to offer the buyer a card-based Direct Payment checkout option at all, before checkout they must also be given the option to pay with a PayPal account. Thus, we cannot create a Buy Now button that would use the card-based Direct Payment checkout method, but if you have PayPal Pro you can still get Buy Now buttons that would use a PayPal Standard checkout.

The client needs to have the Pro checkout because their item is quite expensive.

Just to be perfectly clear: The integration that PayPal Pro requires (the customers shop AND PAY on your website) is handled by the E-Junkie shopping cart, correct.

I'm cool with coding this myself if I have to but I need to be sure of what I'll have to do (write the shopping/paying code myself or just drop in the E-Junkie shopping cart code) so I can quote the client properly.

We provide the secure checkout page for card-based payments. Just copy the ready-made HTML codes we provide in your Seller Admin for standard E-junkie Shopping Cart buttons, and paste those into your site wherever you want the buttons to appear. The Pro checkout features will become active once you have completed our PayPal Pro integration procedure:

Note that PayPal Pro requires that buyers are always offered a choice of paying with their PayPal account (aka Express Checkout) or paying with a card (aka Direct Payment).

If you want to accept payment by credit card only, and never accept payment from a buyer's PayPal account, that simply cannot be done with PayPal Pro. In that case, we would suggest using Authorize.Net instead, which would also allow you to post Buy Now buttons that bypass the cart and take buyers directly to an instant checkout:
