Managing large number of items / pre sales question

I am checking your system on the free trial period right now. Everything looks good ... except for one thing:

managing a large number of items, which seems to be a nightmare.



There is no import function for items, no copy function for existing items, no mass editing function and so on.



I really don't get it: you are offering plans to sell several thousand items through e-junkie but absolutely NO appropriate managing functions. Unfortunately, I plan to sell several hundred (or thousand) items ...



How should someone be able to manage a large inventory? Am I missing something here?



It's a pity. Everything seems to be fine BUT the administration -- which of course is crucial.

E-junkie is constantly evolving and improving. When we started, we were only good for selling a single "file" usaing PayPal and now we are a full blown shopping cart and digital delivery service.



Although we currently don't have a way to bulk import, export and update product currently, we do plan to offer it in first quarter of 2009.

One more vote for an import/export/update product section, my clients need this too.



Additionally, I hope that the Flash-based admin is replaced by regular (html+ajax) interface, flash is useful for animations and demonstrations, not for administration.



Finally, making a developers API available (via REST) would be fantastic, that way I can synchronize my CMS with the product list in E-junkie without requiring the client to sync/update/type manually.

What about a bulk EXPORT? Can I send a request for that as well? There are some updates we need to handle for our products and it would be great to do it all at once. However, I'd like to first export all the items out first. Thanks in advance for your prompt reply!

Development may be able to export all your product data to a tab-delimited text file manually. To confirm your identity and attend to this request, we would need your E-junkie account password, or your original activation code would suffice if you still have your original "Account information" email from us; just send that to us along with your request via email:

Bear in mind this would not allow you to bulk-edit the file for re-importing afterward. Once products have been added in Seller Admin, you can only edit them individually from within Admin.
