Hi,

I have been using ejunkie for a few years for a few of my printed and ebooks. see here:

http://developingminds.net.au/when-life-sucks-for-teens

I have just changed over to squarespace 7 and my web designer has organised it so that I insert a button in squarespace and then in the "click through URL" box which comes up you insert the ejunkie link which takes you to the ejunkie add to cart page for that product.

ie here is the page it takes you too.

1https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?c=cart&i=1294532&cl=206438&ejc=21

However, now I have a new product I just added to ejunkie "when Life sucks for kids".

I want to make a new add to cart squarespace button and do the same thing, insert the URL in the "click through to URL" box when I am editing that squarespace button.

However I cant find the direct URL link. I understand that the button code is different from the direct link.

COuld you please help?

Also, I currently dont have any "view cart" buttons, but now I have more than one product, I need to put a view cart button in. I will also need the direct URL for the view cart button, ie not the button code itself.

Does this make sense?

By putting these direct URL links in the squarespace button code, rather than using the ejunkie button code itself - are there any problems? Ie are there any additional issues with:

- secure sites?

- making sure all the individually added cart items will be able to be seen when I have the view cart?

Thanks

Kirrilie

Hi Kirrilie,

This help page explains the basics of finding the URL you are looking for within our button code, where it is referred to as the "Purchase Link URL":

Basically, the address in quotes directly after the the part which says "href=" is the URL that is being pointed at, and you can use that URL with another image. Product buttons URLs should look similar to the one in your post, while the View Cart URL will be a little shorter (and that link always stays the same across your whole account, you can get it alongside any of your products).

There are some things that can't be done when you set your buttons up like this but those shouldn't impact you. The cart should keep working exactly as it has been with your current setup by opening in a new window.
