Hi!

I want my Mailchimp list to capture E-junkie customer record, including the order data(Not for Signup purposes).

So, I created a list in Mailchimp(which later will be referred to as List A), chose it to Connect to my E-junkie account, then Copied the URL generated by Mailchimp and Pasted it in the Common Notification URL text box in my E-junkie account.

As I'm also offering a Free Gift for every purchase of my eBook now, and allowing the buyer the liberty to pick one out of two Gift choices, I could have placed 2 radio buttons (for the two Gift choices) on my Landing page for the buyer to select one before clicking the 'Buy Now' button but instead, I decided to have two 'Buy Now' buttons, without the radio buttons displayed on the landing page with clear verbiage to prompt the buyer to click the appropriate 'Buy Now' button containing the Gift code of his/her choice. (BTW, I'm not in favor of requiring the buyer to log into another page to select his/her Gift later).

Logically, I changed the first list name to List A to reflect the buyer's choice of Gift A, so that my staff will ship only Gift A to all customer whose records are captured in List A.

I then created List B to capture Order records of customers who clicked on the Gift B 'Buy Now' button. Next, I chose List B to connect to E-junkie, and copied the URL generated by Mailchimp.

When I wanted to paste the URL in the Common Notification URL text box in my E-junkie account, I realized that this URL generated for List B differs from that for List A, and wonder what would happen if I were to paste the List B URL to override the List A URL. Would this result in causing List A not capturing any record?

Q. How do I integrate two lists with E-junkie (if that's possible) to achieve my purpose as mentioned above?

If not, is there another reliable and feasible method, apart from providing two radio buttons for selection?

----------------------

Another issue I encountered is that many field data were not captured in the Mailchimp List.

I suspect some could be due to the Field Tag names of Mailchimp differing from those of E-junkies.

Example: FName and LName for Mailchimp but first_name and last_name for E-junkies respectively.

For some Field tags, I also could not set them in Mailchimp to match with those of E-junkies because Mailchimp has a limit of 10 characters for each Field tag, while several of E-junkies' Field tags exceed 10.

eg. Address_Country, Address_City, Address_State all exceeded 10 characters.

Q. How to get around this?

Thanks very much!

Note that there are two different places you can paste your MailChimp integration URL:

- Your Account Preferences > Common Notification URL will receive the order data for every sale, regardless of which item(s) the buyer purchased.

- In the settings of each product, you can enable "Send transaction data to a URL" and on the Next screen provide a Payment Variable Information URL, which will receive the order data only when that product is purchased (unfortunately, MailChimp URLs won't work here if you're already using this field to enable PDF Stamping for that product).

Thus, you could use your Common URL to have all your buyers added to one list while your product-based URLs would add buyers to a different list, or even different lists for each product.

When you use Mailchimp integration, we send Mailchimp ALL of the order data using the standard PayPal IPN format, so how they handle that data is entirely up to them. You would need to contact their support team if you need help or want them to handle that data differently -- e.g., if they can only handle 10 character names, perhaps specifying the first 10 characters of our field names would work, or maybe their own field names can only be up to 10 characters, but they can accept incoming field names that are longer?

Bear in mind we can also integrate with Aweber and GetResponse:

Unlike Mailchimp integration, you CAN combine Aweber or GetResponse integration with PDF Stamping in a product-specific Payment Variable Information URL, like so:

Aweber + PDF Stamping:

GetResponse + PDF Stamping:

Also, we automatically add buyers to a Buyer Group list we maintain for each product they purchase; you can use our Updates & Newsletters feature to send basic messages to any Buyer Group list(s) for a nominal fee:

Your precious comments and advice have been noted with thanks.

Aweber and GetRepsonse have other limitations which I couldn't recall exactly now.

Just in case Mailchimp still couldn't have a way to capture all the data I want, I'm now also looking into setting up my MySQL database and having my own PHP script in an URL (solely for this purpose) to receive order data transmitted by E-junkie and populate in my database tables.

I will then have two radio buttons for the choice of Bonus product on my Landing page, and the Order data will all be captured into one database in the Customer and Order tables linked. The Order table will have a Column for Bonus type to capture the actual Bonus of the Customer's choice.

Is there anything of vital importance that you'd advise as regards my own PHP script to receive the order data, so that it will work correctly after it is pasted in E-junkie?

In this instance, do I paste my own PHP URL in Account Preferences > Common ?

Thanks very much, and bless you with a wonderful week end!

Hi!

Sorry for raising another question.

In the E-junkie Affiliate Program Settings page we are advised to have a webpage to link from a "More Information" hyperlink texts.

I have created this page, and pasted the URL in the box accordingly, but when I logged in to the Affiliate Signup page I couldn't find this "More Information" hyperlink.

Can I know where is this hyperlink located?

Thanks!

Affiliates who join your program will be able to access your More Information URL from their Affiliate Admin > Get Affiliate Code > Select Merchant menu, where if they select your program in that menu, a More Info button will appear, which brings up your More Information URL in a new window/tab.

Bear in mind we already maintain a record of all order data for the transactions our system processes for you, so you may not need to maintain a record of that data yourself with MailChimp or a custom database. You can view or download this data from your E-junkie Transaction Log:

http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.transaction-log.htm

We also include the order data in a Sale Notification email message that we send to your E-junkie Login Email address when our system processes a transaction for you.

If you still prefer to maintain your own, separate record of order data, this help page explains how our custom/third-party Integration feature submits the order data to any script URL(s) you specify:
