When my customers click on the ejunkie add to cart button they are receiving notices that say, "THIS PRODUCT COMBINATION DOES NOT EXIST."

The products all delivered fine as of last week. Now my e-commerce on certain products has suddenly stopped because of this prompt. I checked all my links and they appear correct. I have changed nothing but suddenly my customers are greeted with that prompt. Has anyone else had this problem? It's the weekend and E-junkie customer service is not open on the weekends and I need to fix this problem now. Thank you.

Hi Glenn,

We've already answered your question via email, but to clarify for anyone else who might experience a similar problem, the "Does not exist" error happens when the product button is pointing to a product ID (or variant option combination) that does not exist. This can happen if a product's ID number is changed after the button is posted, for example.

The best way to fix such a problem is to get an updated button for that product from your E-junkie account and use that to replace the button that is producing the error.

We are available for support via email seven days a week during daytime business hours (based in Arizona, -700 UTC) and will answer all inquiries in less than 24 hours.

Thank you. The product ID's indeed weren't matched. I did as you instructed and things appear to be working again.

You just clarified something for me in regards to the the buttons that may be useful for others to know about as well.

I thought that the button itself does not need to be changed when I change the URL link that goes to that button. I thought that when I make a new link for a button that existing button would grab whatever new link I assign to it. After studying the HTML codes in the buttons I see that I was wrong about that.

Also I see that if I send the products to myself when the buttons and codes don't match then this means that sending to myself is not a sure way to test a products delivery. I have to push the button to see if it's leading to the cart.

To clarify, most changes to your product/account settings will be picked up automatically by any existing buttons in your site, but there's a few product settings that DO alter the button code and thus require copy-pasting new code when you change them, namely: the product's Item Number, product options using Variations/Variants, and Min./Sugg. Price for items that "Let buyer edit price".
