I'm doing this by hand right now, and it's very time consuming. Is there a third party solution that will take the eJunkie download file and extract the data into a .csv form I can import into our shipping program?

Is the right place to ask the question.

Thanks so much!

you can open it up and do a find/replace for tabs and replace with commas if that is what your after?

or are you looking to strip out certain data/fields..?

Our Transaction Log downloads are provided as a zipped, tab-delimited plaintext file; perhaps your shipping program already has an option for importing tab-delimited data, or you could open the file in a spreadsheet program like Excel and re-save the file as a CSV.

The find/replace method mentioned by whispers here may not be suitable, as shipping addresses are provided as a comma-delimited field within the tab-delimited file, so simply replacing tabs with commas could produce some weird column discrepancies depending on the buyer's address format.

You might also consider using our custom/3rd-party Integration method to have us forward the order details to a script at your end on-the-fly whenever an order comes in:

Yeah I wouldnt 'recommend' using an actual COMMA character..

but the name implies it..

I would use a carrot (^) or pipe (|) delimiter... as to not interfere with native commas in data separation..

Thanks, whispers and guru. Yes, I'm doing exactly what guru describes. I take the shipping column and extract the data via comma/text ... tweak and make the subsequent .csv file happy to mate with our stand alone shipping program. It's very time consuming.

I'll look into the 3rd party integration method to see if that might work.

Cheers!!
