Our e-junkie cart stopped working at some point on the morning of 6/20/13. It calculates the cost of shipping based on zip code and when the zip code is entered it hangs up. I've looked at other e-junkie sites that calculate the cost of shipping and they appear to be having the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

I was having the same issue this morning as well, but as of a few minutes ago, things seem to be functioning again.

Yes, I got a few orders in.



This just in from a postmaster:



USPS external internet connectivity has been disrupted since about 10:30 pm affecting some customer websites. This disruption is external to the postal service and also is affecting other high profile businesses and agencies. There has been no breach of USPS infrastructure security or data and computer systems. The cause has been determined to be from internet domain names associated with USPS.com and USPS.gov being redirected to another location. The postal service's domain name service provider has corrected the issue and the process of providing the correction to all ISPs is underway.This is expected to take several hours and as ISPs apply the correction customer's connection is returning.





It would seem logical to have a copy of the rate table stored locally on E-Junkie server and have that as an option to choose (shipping settings) in case this were to happen again. Probably too much effort for the e-junkie team.

Shipping calculation question



I seem to have figured out the shipping calculation as far as the charges showing up in my shopping cart, but when I open the paypal payment window, the shipping charges are missing from the summary window. I need help figuring this out. Does anyone know how to remedy this?

PayPal checkouts will only show shipping/tax amounts once the buyer has provided their actual location and shipping address during checkout, so PayPal can contact our system to make sure the shipping/tax charges are appropriate for their location. This prevents confusing or misleading the buyer in case the address they provide does not match the location they'd specified in their cart before checkout, which may change the calculated charges.
