Hi

I'm finding a $4 to $5 discrepancy between the online price of a package as calculated directly at UPS.com and the calculated shipping in the EJ cart (it is less in the cart). I'm under the belief that the cart is asking UPS.com for its figures, but something is going awry.

I'm working with ONE add to cart button in particular : NATURE PORTFOLIO. Ignore the others, please.

The webpage with the button in question is www.homeschooljourney.com/Products2e.html

For example: when I add 1, 2 or 3 Nature Portfolios to the cart they go to 90210 for $10.70 (yes!)

Adding a fourth one makes it go to 90210 for $11.70. But UPS.com will charge me $15.99 for the 9# package (ouch!)

The idea is that any items in the cart that total 16oz -124oz, go for a USPS flat rate (this rule works fine).

Then, when at least 1 item is in the cart and its weight is 125oz or greater, the shipping is calculated by UPS.

Each portfolio weighs 36oz. I have no amounts, for weight or cost, set for specific containers (regular box, etc.). The amount of Nature Portfolios that a regular box can hold is set to 8. No handling charges. Can you suggest anything please?

Thanks!

Hi Paul,

We've verified the discrepancy and we're waiting for a response from our development team about what might be the cause for the difference between what your cart is displaying and what we get by entering the same information into UPS' website directly.

The lower price that appears in your cart is coming to us from UPS as well, once we discover what is being done differently to calculate each price we'll let you know the reason.
