When I click on my buy now button on my webpage, It reads: WAITING FOR RESPONSE FROM E-JUNKIE. I am using USEMYNET wifi software and they set up my buttons for me and gave me the button codes. But I deleted the button codes that they sent me by email and went to my e-junkie account and copied the html button codes to each of my buttons and pasted them on my webpage. I was using e-junkie as a trial and just realized that I was testing my buttons a day after the trial ended. I am wondering if that was why the buttons were not working. The day after the expiration, I paid the $5 subscription fee. But I am still having a problem with the buttons not redirecting to the paypal payment page. I still get: WAITING FOR RESPONSE FROM E-JUNKIE and then the page reads: the page cannot be displayed.

It appears we've been working with you on this via email as well, so I'll just copy my reply here:

We grant a grace period after your trial ends, so being only a day or two past the end of your trial would not explain the problem you described. Even if you were past the end of that grace period, clicking your purchase buttons would at least bring up a "Product unavailable" message, rather than no response at all.

I tested the buttons on your site and could not reproduce the problem you described, so I think the most likely cause of that issue is a simple matter of problems with your Internet connection. The buyer's computer needs to have a live Internet connection in order for our purchase buttons to work in their browser. If you're testing your buttons while your Internet connection is dropping out, that would explain why clicking a button gets no response.

I am using the TL-WR1043ND ROUTER with usemynet software to create a wifi hotspot. Usemynet reps set up my buttons. My pc that is hooked up to my router that has the usemynet software installed, successfully is able to redirect to the paypal payment page after clicking on either one of my two buttons. Initially, whenever I clicked on either one of the buttons on any one of my 3 wireless handhelds i was able to be redirected to the paypal payment page. But now for some reason, on all of my wireless handhelds i get a message: waiting for e-junkie to respond and then the page times out. But I can click the buttons using my pc and I am redirected to the Paypal payment page with no problem. I AM WONDERING WHY DO I GET THE MESSAGE, WAITING FOR E-JUNKIE TO RESPOND?

In addition, I reset my router and cleared out each browser that I am testing with. But get same results.

Your buttons appear to work fine, and we have not had any service outages at our end in quite some time, so the problem is with your own wireless connection, which you will need to sort out with Usemynet support.

The way your Buy Now buttons work, clicking a button tells the buyer's browser to contact e-junkie.com, so we can look up the product details (name, price, etc.) and transfer those details to PayPal, while we redirect the buyer's browser to PayPal's checkout site.

The "waiting for e-junkie.com to respond" message and eventual timeout simply means your wireless device is trying to contact E-junkie's server and failing to establish contact, which would happen if your wireless router is dropping your connection to that device or blocking connections to the Internet at large.

Wireless connections can sometimes be unreliable, so a device that connects fine from one area may have a flaky connection or be unable to connect at all from another area, or the connection may drop out as you move from one area to another.

If you are selling access to your own wireless router as a public wifi hotspot, perhaps the problem is that the Usemynet software thinks your wireless devices have not paid to access the Internet, so it's blocking those devices from viewing anything other than your page that asks for payment whenever anyone tries to connect -- just the same as what your hotspot buyers would see.

You may need to grant a special exception for e-junkie.com and paypal.com, so your hotspot buyers can at least connect to those servers to complete their payments before they'd be granted general access to the rest of the Internet. You may also need to grant special access to your own wireless devices, so they can connect without being required to pay. Again, you would need to work with Usemynet support to sort this out, as none of that involves our system, and the aspects of your setup that do involve our system seem to be working fine without your wireless router issues interfering with the connection.

To WWEARP:

I am experiencing similar issues to you. We have a UseMyNet TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1.1 with the Usemynet firmware installed by them. It has been working fine on an Avanti satellite internet link since March however recently we now have problems connecting to the internet.

Clients can connect to the UseMyNet TP-Link TL-WDR3600 WiFi and on accessing a web page are directed to the payment landing page. When they try to purchase a ticket of any value a new window opens with an e-junkie address and a loading logo. Sometimes the page times out at “waiting for e-junkie”, other times e-junkie appears to hand over to papal for payment then the page times out, sometimes the landing page is rendered in the window. Occasionally the Paypal payment page is presented.

Rebooting the UseMyNet TP-Link TL-WDR3600 router gets it working again however after a few access tests the errant behaviour returns.

I have tested the e-junkie buttons from my lap top browser using the landing page I wrote for the Usemynet and they work fine every time so I conclude that the usemynet router is the issue.

I have tried emailing and telephoning Usemynet however they have not responded to me. I also posted on their Facebook page however that is no longer available. I have the sinking feeling that they are no longer trading.

Best wishes,
