Since I am very new to authorize.net I am hoping to confirm I've set up everything properly on my end.

First, I knew I needed the Payment Gateway for Credit Card Processing option. What I wasn't sure about was if I needed the Internet Merchant Account for Credit Card Processing option too. Since I did not already have a financial institution or bank account that would handle these transactions, I assumed I'd need to select this option too. I hope that wasn't a mistake. It would very helpful if E-Junkie would include some additional information on the sign-up page for Authorize.net about this.

In any event, everything seemed to work out great. Though after entering the API login information and then testing the checkout option I get an error page that says, "2, 205, This transaction has been declined, click here to go back".

I've contacted Authorize.net about this with a ticket, but haven't had a response yet. Has anyone ever determined what causes this error?

Hopefully I got everything set up properly - I was a little out of my league setting some of this up, but I think everything's good. Any comments/thoughts?

Thanks,

John

I researched the error "205, This transaction has been declined" and found that it is an Authorize.net error specific to merchants on FDC Omaha. You will need to find out what steps Authorize.net need you to take to resolve this issue.

Thanks, I will wait for them to respond to the ticket I submitted.

Was I correct in my assumption that I did need both the Payment Gateway AND the Internet Merchant Account to use their services with E-Junkie?

You need a merchant service that works with Authorize.net if not their specific merchant services.
