Why the shopping cart button is recommended?

I notice on your website that e-Junkie "recommends" the shopping cart buttons. Is the recommendation from a standpoint of convenience for the customer, a issue of "flow" for the purchase process or because the shopping

cart tends to result in more sales / higher conversions than the "Buy Now" buttons?
