Our backend integration with PayPal Payments Advanced specifically requires Layout C, for various reasons including simplicity of implementation for us and for merchants alike. We did not devote any particular attention toward supporting Layouts A/B, and merchants have reported that their Advanced card checkout does not work if they selected either of those layouts while otherwise following our PayPal Advanced integration procedure as documented.
