Hi there. I'm in the UK, and I have Paypal's Website Payments Pro set up and integrated with e-junkie. I'd like to put up a list of the credit cards that I accept on my website for potential buyers to see - the only problem is that I'm not sure which ones I do accept!

Paypal say that as a UK user, I should be able to accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo. But on the fatfreecartpro payment page, the dropdown menu allows the customer to select Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

So, the question is: if a customer tries to use an American Express or Discover card, will it work, or will it be declined, losing me a possible sale? Also, is there any way that I can accept Maestro and Solo? After all, I'm in the UK, where these cards are quite popular.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You would need to contact PayPal for clarification on that matter, but I suspect that Maestro and Solo may not work, as they are debit-only cards that cannot authorize payments through the regular credit card authorization system (as most US-issued debit cards can).

I think our checkout system can only handle Visa, MasterCard, Discover and AmEx anyway, so if you want to disable any of those for your E-junkie account, follow these steps:

- Go to Seller Admin > Payment Preferences;

- Tick the checkbox for Authorize.Net (this will untick the box for PayPal Pro, but we're only doing this temporarily);

- Untick the checkboxes for card types you DO NOT want to accept;

- Click Submit to save changes;

- Go back into Seller Admin > Payment Preferences;

- Re-tick the box for PayPal Website Payments Pro (this will automatically untick Authorize.Net, but your card-type preferences will remain saved);

- Click Submit to save.
