I am a newbie in need of immediate help.

I set up a hop link but no link or url shows up once I tick the box to create the hop link and press the submit button.

It should link to this page:

http://www.innerpeaceseries.com/finding-inner-peace-in-troubled-times-with-gratitude

Not to this one where it is currently set:

http://www.innerpeaceseries.com

How do I do this?

This detail is preventing a large mailing from going out.

Thanks,

Eliana Gilad

Is this for a product specific hop-link instead of the common hop-link to your site?

If so, go to Seller Admin > Setup product specific affiliate programs (listed under Manage Products) and press the Edit Affiliate Settings button.

Here you would paste the URL you wish to use. Checking the box does not create an URL, it just says that you are specifying one. Pasting your first link here and pressing submit should solve your problem.

I did what you said (even before sending this enquiry). The affiliate just sent this back:

The “hoplink” needs to be created in e-junkieè an affiliated coded link that goes to the page mentioned below.

ie … creating a Gratitude page is the first step, the next is creating an aff. Link that leads to that page.

WHAT? It's Greek to me. Please advise what and how to do to solve this issue.

Thanks alot for your speedy response.

Okay, I had a look at your settings. First, go into Seller Admin > Affiliate Program Settings and set your Common Hop Link URL to the landing page where buyers should arrive when they click an affiliate's link. You currently have this URL in that setting:

http://www.innerpeaceseries.com/affiliate-sign-up

...which should probably go in the next line, as a "More info" page affiliates can refer to after they join.

You only need to set up product-specific affiliate settings if you want to grant a different commission percentage on certain products, or if you want to offer a product-specific hop link landing page that differs from your common hop link landing page. To do this (or to remove unnecessary product-specific settings you've already added), go to Seller Admin > Setup Product Specific Affiliate Programs, select a product from the menu, and then click Edit Affiliate Settings for that product.

Finally, I noticed your affiliate sign-up page (at the URL above) says you will pay out commissions every 2 weeks/twice monthly? We're not sure how you'd plan to do that, since our system can only calculate commissions on a monthly lump-sum basis for the last completed calendar month. E.g., if you go to Seller Admin > Pay Your Affiliates and generate your masspay.txt file today, that would calculate commissions earned for sales made in all of February, and if you do that again later this month, the masspay.txt file we genereate will still only calculate all commissions earned in all of February, although there may be a slight difference if any buyers got a refund or payment reversal for an order they'd originally placed in February (for this reason, we recommend generating your masspay file mid-month or later). If you wanted to pay out commissions on some other schedule, you'd need to download your full E-junkie Transaction Log and calculate commission earnings manually for each affiliate.

Thanks for responding. You wrote:

I DID set up a specific hop link for the innerpeace- go gratitude page- it is a special jv. How does this all work? What do I need to give to them? They signed up as an affiliate through my regular page (innerpeaceseries.com whose price is $97) but want the page that gets referred to as the jv product specific page which is the same product but in a choose your own price version).

Please excuse my ignorance. This is all new to me. This issue is holding up the process of our sending out the mailing. Thanks for getting back to me asap. Eliana

After a new affiliate clicks your sign-up link, they would use their own E-junkie Affiliate Admin to obtain their linking code for your affiliate program, which we generate and provide for them automatically. You may wish to review this help page we provide for affiliates, which explains how our system works from their point of view:

http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.for-affiliates.htm

You can also click your own sign-up link to join your own program (just use the same E-junkie login you already have for this), so you can see in your account's Affiliate Admin exactly what your affiliates would see in their own Affiliate Admin. You can use the Sellers and Affiliates tabs at the top of our site to switch which Admin mode you're in at any moment.
