Where do I access the mailing lists to check the email address of contacts? I want to make sure all emails are in a contact lists for future books?
E-junkie is primarily an order-processing service, not a marketing service, so our email functions are primarily related to order fulfillment and product-update notification.
If we supported more promotional-/marketing-related email functions in-house, that would tend to increase the spam score of all emails we send (including notification and thank-you emails), which would only impede our ability to meet the email-related demands inherent to our primary, order-related services (such as the download links we provide in our thank-you emails).
Other email marketing services like Aweber already "do it all" and do it much better than we ever could, so rather than reinvent their particular wheel, we simply provide a means to integrate our service with theirs -- see the Aweber section near the bottom of this help page:

Following those instructions will submit every new buyer's name and email to Aweber as if the buyer had manually filled out an Aweber email-list subscription form; Aweber will still send them a confirmation asking if they wish to opt-in to receiving that newsletter subscription.
BTW, if you initiate a Refund on somebody's payment, their removal from our buyers list should be automatic; if you need to remove the email of a buyer who has not been granted a refund, please contact us to request their address be removed manually:

Thanks for this. I have followed the aweber integration steps but none of the 3 sales today appear to have been added. Clearly I must have done someting wrong!
when entering the value in to the string &meta_web_form_id=value&meta_split_id=value&unit=value
&meta_adtracking=value&meta_message=value
&meta_forward_vars=value
does value need to appear in quotes as per aweber form or no quotes?

No quotes, but if any of the values from your Aweber form code have spaces, you will need to replace the spaces with either a "+" sign or a "%20" -- e.g. if your Aweber code has a value that looks something like this:
<input type="hidden" name="meta_adtracking" value="Separated words">
...then the URL you create for our Aweber integration would represent that with one of these:
&meta_adtracking=Separated+words
...or...
&meta_adtracking=Separated%20words
Also, if your original Aweber form code has any empty values, just put nothing after the "=" for that value in our Aweber integration URL; just go directly from the "=" to the next "&" to attach the next value. A completed Aweber integration URL would have all those values attached in a line after the initial URL, all in one long string together.
I too am having trouble intergrating Aweber.
I have followed your instructions and my test product which did send the firstname and email to Aweber, but Aweber will not send back the confirmation to the subscriber, which means I still can not email the customer. Aweber is claiming using a form in this method is illegal. You must use the Email Paser that they have setup on there end, but I don't know how to do that with e-junkie. Can you tell me how to forward the sale notification to my Aweber list?
We have been working with Aweber to come up with a new integration solution that meets their requirements and ours; this solution is now in place, and our Aweber-integration documentation has been updated accordingly:

Thanks for your patience and understanding while we worked to restore this functionality.

Our AWeber integration should now be functioning properly as of yesterday.
Anyone experiencing problems should make sure they've followed our integration instructions:

Are there any plans to integrate with Mailchimp? Or do I have to move my whole list over to Aweber if I want to track buyer emails?
What should I do if I need to change the email of a buyer in ejunkie? They have changed their email address since buying from me and want to keep the updates.
Also, on my last product update mailout a HUGE number of people didn't get it, I'm talking about 80% of people that I sent the update to just didn't get it, so I had to send out over 100 eBooks manually. Not much fun
We don't have any plans to integrate with other mail services, but if Mailchimp can receive PayPal IPN-style submissions of order data, you may be able to apply our standard Integration procedure:

We are working on an upgrade to our email list management features, so you should regain the ability to add and remove addresses at will quite soon now. Meanwhile, when you send a free download link, you can include a link to opt-in to joining your Buyer Group list for that product, and you can email us with any defunct addresses to remove:

That's really bizarre for so many people to fail to receive an email from us. Ordinarily I'd wonder if our emails got erroneously flagged as spam, but I can't imagine that happening 80% of the time as you say. Although we have taken every step to improve the likelihood that our emails would be identified as legitimate, ultimately email providers' spam filtering practices are out of our hands, and we seem to have a particular problem with Microsoft-run email addresses -- were a lot of the missing recipients @hotmail.com @msn.com or @live.com? I'll assign this to Development to look into what could have happened there.
Can I please try to understand how this works ?
I've set up a retail account with e-Junkie.com and everything seems to be fine.
Is it true that I can not see, edit or modify the customers email addresses (or any contact information) after they have purchased a product from me?
I have to pay 19.00 a month in order to have this information available to me at Aweber ?
That my customers will receive an email from Aweber asking for permission for me to send them notifications about future updates or future products that I release ????
If this is the case, then I guess I will be shopping for another e-retailer because this is not right. I HAVE to have access to this information to that I can distribute the follow-up/update notifications the way I want to with or without the assistance of another company. I understand e-junkie not wanting to be a marketing company, but you can't put blinders on the eyes of the virtual store owners when it comes to valuable contact information about their customers !!
I didn't realize this serious shortcoming here at e-Junkie. Everything else has been fine - we have the buy now buttons working at my site, but if I'm blinded to the information about the people that become my customers, then e-Junkie is not right for me.
Thank you for your consideration.
