Hi

I understand that i will have to edit button code if i change the item number, suggested minimum price, or the variants/variations.

What are considered as variants/variations?

If i make a change in the product requirements, e.g. checking the inventory control box, and subsequently changing the number in "Limit product sales to", will i have to edit button code? As i am dealing with many tangible goods (skin care products), i have to update my inventory very often, so i am hoping that i do not need to keep editing the button code.

And does the system automatically reduce the number in "Limit product sales to" when i sell off the product? or Do i have to manually edit the numbers and edit the button code myself?

With the above scenario, please specify which button code i will have to edit , the Add To Cart code or View Cart code?

Lastly, regardless of what changes i make to my product and product requirements, does the View Cart code remains the same?

Thanks.

Your View Cart code is unique to you, but the same for all of your products, and your View Cart code will never change. Each product has its own, unique Add to Cart button code. You must have at least one View Cart button on every page that has any Add to Cart buttons, but you don't need more than one View Cart per page.

The "Limit product sales to" figure should decrease with each sale of that product. Editing that setting does not alter your Add to Cart button code.

Variants/Variations refers only to these specific product settings:

- "Variations which tell more about the product"

- "Variants having individual price/weight/stock/SKU"

If you are using those settings and make any changes to their configuration, that will alter your Add to Cart button codes for the product. If you are not using those settings, then the only thing that would affect a product's Add to Cart button codes is changing the Item Number or changing the Suggested Price when you Let Buyer Edit Price.
