Web download page for Mobile devices

Hi,



Is it possible to optimise the shopping cart process for for mobile devices ?



All our downloads are to phones but some feedback suggests the download page is hard to use on mobile phones.

what does 'hard' mean? layout? resources not displaying?



I dont believe the shopping cart/checkout process is FLASH based.. (only the E-junkie back end/admin stuff).. so it shouldnt be a problem in iDevices?



I dont work/develop for e-junkie.... but without a target/goal on what needs to be optimized, its like guessing?

Only our Admin panels are Flash-based (and we're working on a replacement for that); our cart and download pages are all standard HTML.



However, bear in mind that Apple only permits direct download to iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) from their own App Store; direct downloads from the Web are forbidden on those devices, so those buyers would need to use a regular computer to download the file, then sync it from there to their iOS device.

By "Hard" - that the page is hard to read and that icons are small to click. So I'm really talking about page size v screen size.

We don't offer apple apps so that's an issue for us.

Most smartphone users are accustomed to using the zoom/pan functions of their touchscreen to enlarge Web content for easier viewing, and our download pages should accommodate that just fine. If you wish, you can alter the appearance of those pages by adding custom CSS in your Seller Admin > Account Preferences > Common Thank-you Page HTML, like so:

You may also want to add a note there for Apple iPad/iPod/iPhone users, explaining that they will need to use a regular computer to complete the download, since Apple forbids any direct downloads from the Web to those devices.
