Using e-junkie to sell commission illustrations

Hello,



I have added e-junkie to my site to sell an e-book.



I also offer commission illustration work. I would like to use e-junkie to collect payment for such work. At the moment I use PayPal, but rather than redirect clients to PayPal, I would like them to simply click a button on my site.



If I set up a button on my site to order an illustration, would the client be able to specify details of what they want drawing at the same time? So would after they click the 'buy illustration' button, would there be a comments/message to seller section where they would write such details, and that would be forwarded to me?



Alternatively, for such work is it better to direct the client to the payment button after delivery has been made (and prior correspondence via e-mail not e-junkie)



What would be the simplest way to set this up? I am suffering a little from information overload, so an simple, clear instructions would be appreciated.

Hi Rob,



The first thing to consider is that we are not a payment processor or alternative to PayPal. You would have to use PayPal in addition to our service to collect a payment so no matter what you'd have to be sending buyers off to PayPal to complete checkout.



If you wanted to set up a product button on your site and get information from your buyers about what kind of illustration that they want you can use our Variations feature described here:

That would allow you to create up to three text fields, although the amount of text that can be entered into those might be a little too limited for someone who needs to describe an illustration to you.



And since you are going to be creating a custom illustration for each buyer you won't be able to use our file delivery feature in the same way as you are for your e-book. We can only delivery a copy of the same file to all of your buyers, there's no way to provide an unique or custom file to each buyer based on their input at checkout.



Honestly, if you are looking to have an email conversation with these buyers outside of our cart to get a feel for their needs then your best bet would be to present them with a link to pay via PayPal or with the link from an E-junkie product that does nothing beyond record the order and send the buyer to PayPal for payment. This wouldn't be a matter of using any special product settings, and to use one of our product links in an email see here:
