In the product configuration email do you need to put this token in [%download_link%] or will it just be there if you check the download check box?? I wrote a text message, checked the download link and also checked the enable html box. Is that how to do it? For a pdf download I assume I don't need to check generated code. Also it says the email is optional but I think I do need to send something to people.



2) I am not clear on the function of that other screen that has the generate/send download link form. Is this something that should be entered with their contact info after purchase and all 3 boxes checked? Or will that just be a repeat?



3) I also am confused about the thank you page. Do I need to put something in it? It says optional. And if I do , must I put in some download token or will that be automatically added? It would be great if you had a manual. If I don't fill it out will there be a default thank you page that has the download link?



4) For the affiliate program - if you have different products on different domains would these then be separate affil programs that you set up? Is it still under same acct? Thanks.

  1. You only need to use template variables like [%download_link%] if you want to use a custom template for your email. For details, please see "customization" section in our help page.


  2. That function is for testing download links and also for sending products to friends and reviewers.


  3. You don't have to customize the thank you page. By defualt it will have the download link. If you want to customize it, please see "customization" section in our help page.


  4. These can be set under the same account.

Thank you. I think I understand what you are saying. I am confused about a couple of points:



1) For the thank you page, if I customize it will it overwrite the default page? Or will it just add stuff. LIke if I say thank you for your purchase, quotations warm the soul etc will it still have the download link or do I need to add in the download token once I add things to the thank you page (the one hosted on your server). (I know it says at least for the product configuration email that if you enable the html email it will overwrite things).



Also I didn't put in an item number but I see there is one now by default when I review my product in admin. I assume that's fine and was added by your system.



2) If I refer other merchants how does the commission work? Thanks.

  1. If you customize the page, you are adding HTML/JS/CSS to the current page. The page already has download links and everything necessary.


  2. We assign item numbers by default to products which don't have an item number. That is perfectly fine.
