Hello,

After many problems with redirecting to my own Thank You page, I would like to see a sample of what the customer is viewing after they have completed their payment. Is there any way to do this? I cant seem to find it anywhere if there is?

Not sure what is wroing with the redirect to my own URL (http://www.gibdogpetsupplies.com/confirmation.htm).......but alot of the time when the customer completes the transaction, and is redirected there, it just "hangs", and it appears it keeps trying to load (like 10 times a second), although nothing ever shows but a blank page. Does anyone have an idea of whats going on?

I'd just like a simple "Thank You", to show the customer that the transaction has been completed, and their payment was received. Im tired of receiving emails from customers wondering if their payment was done correctly.

You can temporarily set the product price to 0.00 and then Add to Cart that product and Checkout to reach the thank-you page directly.

If you would rather not leave your product price active at 0.00 even for a moment for testing purposes, you can temporarily enable the File Download setting for the product(s) you wish to test, even if there is no actual file to download. This setting includes a download link in the thank-you email, which link actually brings up the product's thank-you page (where any actual download link would normally appear). Then you can use your Seller Admin > "Send free thank-you email/download link" to send yourself a thank-you email with that link to view your thank-you page. Once you have finished testing your thank-you page, you can disable the File Download setting for that product.

Does the thank-you page delay only happen with Google Checkout? That sometimes happens when a payment is still being processed when the buyer clicks the return/continue link on Google's checkout page. Note that PayPal Pro (not regular PayPal) is the only processor that auto-refreshes to a thank-you page. All other payment processors only offer a return/continue link on their checkout page, so the customer would only see the thank-you page if they manually click that link, and only if their payment had already completed pretty much instantly. If their payment was not yet complete, then the thank-you page link would only bring up a generic message asking them to check their email for further info, since we would not want to issue any download links or purchased codes (typically presented on the thank-you page) until their payment clears as good and complete.

Update: If you have a thank you page URL in your E-junkie seller admin > preferences, buyer will reach your thank you page even for pending payments.

1 year later

Is it still the case 2.5 years later that e=junkie hands off processing to Paypal and Google Checkout without a way to force the return to the custom thank you page?

1shoppingcart uses web services with Paypal to avoid this whole issue. I assumed that your software did too. I am just now in the process of setting up a new site with e-junkie for a client, but this situation is stopping me.

Please let me know the current status of your software.

Thanks,

Stefan

I need to redirect successful purchases to my custom Thank You page URL. I have two different Thank You page URLs for two different products. I am able to redirect the buyer to the appropriate custom Thank You page URL by selecting the Redirect option when setting up each product. Everything seems to work as intended, however, there is an automated email generated from e-junkie that says:

Dear (customer),

Please click the link below to complete your purchase of Mobo Ergonomic Computer Station - $89.95.

https://www.e-junkie.com/d/?t=77R590398H6276157&d=4uk13&c=1s58

Please note, this link is temporary and will expire once you use it. If clicking on this link does not work, please copy paste it in your browser's address bar and press enter.

----------------

It appears this is a link for downloadable products. My products are tangible items and therefore, this email seems to generate suspicion from customers who have purchased.

Is there any way to disable this automated email? It seems that the Redirect option (when setting up a product) is the only way to send successful purchases to a specific Thank You page URL on website for tracking.

Thank you in advance,

Kevin

Normally, product-specific Redirection is used to grant buyers access to some "secret" URL where premium or "pay per view" content is presented, so we issue a thank-you email with a link that activates the redirect, to make sure the buyer can access the content they paid for.

Since you're not using Redirection for that purpose, you can disable the thank-you email by checking Enable Templated Email in each product's settings but leaving the Email Message field above that blank (our system can't issue an email according to a template if no template is provided :^).
