An affiliate sent me what appeared to be an affiliate link (that included my affiliate account number) to ask if it I could confirm it was my affiliate link and if it was working. I think he saw in his c-panel records that someone had clicked the link and was wondering if he might soon be rich.

Of course he knows he only gets paid if the clicker buys the file. But is there a way I can test an affiliate link to make sure it works correctly, other than just taking me to the correct URL?

A Common Hop Link URL for your program should look like this, where XXXXXX is the affiliate's account ID in our system:

https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?cl=291115&c=ib&aff=XXXXXX

A product-specific hop link URL is a bit longer, where YYYYYY would be the product's item ID in our system:

https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?ii=YYYYYY&cl=291115&c=ib&aff=XXXXXX

An invalid link would not redirect to your landing page, so the fact that it redirects successfully should confirm the link is valid. You could also clear your browser cookies (or at least delete any cookies for "e-junkie.com"), then click the link, then search your cookies for "e-junkie.com" and see if you have one named "ej_aff_id291115", which would be the referral cookie we'd set in your browser when you clicked the link.

We do not track affiliate link click-thru stats; we only track actual sales resulting from the affiliate's referral, so if the affiliate sees a referral for your program in their Affiliate Admin, that indicates they referred an actual sale. They may be contacting you about it if they are not aware that commissions are typically paid out as a monthly lump sum, rather than being paid instantly as soon as the referred sale occurs. You are responsible for paying out commission earnings to your own affiliates.

Thanks for that. It's helpful. If you don't mind, I will repeat what you said as accurately as I can
