I would like to offer a single coupon code so that a set target audience can sample our products. The message we want to deliver is "go here to download this product and if you use coupon code "xxxx", you can get it for free". We want to have one coupon code that can be used multiple times to redeem for the cost of the product so people can sample it for free.

When I go into ejunkie, I set up the single coupon code, set the value of the coupon equal to the price of the product to ensure the customer will be able to redeem the coupon and get the product for free, and put the max use count at 4000 so there will be enough uses of the coupon. I then go and set up the product and put the coupon code "PIN/Registration field" in the product set up.

After all this is set up, when I go to test this out, I can only use the coupon code once. After the initial redemption, when I go and try to redeem again, it says that the product is out of stock, which is impossible because its a digital and downloadable product.

What is wrong here? What do I need to do to? Or does eJunkie not support this sort of coupon redemption?

Thanks

That is happening because you put the coupon code in the product's PIN/Registration field.

That field is only used for selling stored codes (like software registration keys or phonecard PINs), issuing one code from the list to each buyer, so when the list runs out, there is no more "inventory" of codes to issue, and so the product becomes "sold out".

Edit your product to disable the Send Stored Codes setting to fix this problem. Also, you can leave the Max Use Count setting blank for your Discount Code to allow unlimited uses of that discount up until you delete that discount from your Seller Admin.
