I have two separate pages on a BLOG..one sells downloadable files, the other sells product...

I just realized that if someone selects products from one of my "pages" and then goes to the other "page"..it opens up a separate shopping cart..the items are not combined, even though from the same site.

here are the 2 pages:

Is there any way that customers can shop on both pages and combine items to be on the same cart?

Thanks so much for your help..

Your recipe boutique page is missing your View Cart code, which is required to display the overlay-style cart "inside" your page. Whenever the overlay cart cannot be displayed, the cart buttons on that page will still work in "fallback mode" by opening a separate window/tab to display the cart there; however, because of the way browsers handle cookies, items added to the fallback cart cannot appear in the overlay cart and vice-versa.

Just copy your View Cart code from Seller Admin and paste that into your recipe boutique page -- better yet, see if you can paste your View Cart code into a common header, footer, or sidebar area that gets added to every page on your site automatically.

1 - I'm having trouble finding where to get the View Cart Code...sorry! I tried copying the View Cart Code from the Cafe page...and it works...but the original problem still exists..when I shop in either the boutique or cafe..two separate carts....

2 - even with the View Cart button in the Boutique, the cart still opens on a separate page and not an overlay. I did copy the code from the Cafe View Cart..perhaps the code for the Boutique would be different? The shopping experience on the two pages is not the same..one opens cart in new page..other opens the overlay....and still two separate carts..Thank you so much for your help.. Barbara

I'm trying to EDIT this post, but getting a page with a number on it..so...i'm working on int..I now have the view cart code..let me try and put it in again..will update. thanks.

SUCCESS!! Thank you again! You are always so helpful!

Glad to hear you got it working!

Just to clarify, simply copying/cutting a View Cart button from one page to paste into another page won't work, as that typically won't include the second half of your View Cart code which isn't part of the clickable button itself; that half is the part that loads our box.js script into your page, which manages the overlay-style cart as part of your page.

Always copy your View Cart code by going to "Get Buy Now/Cart Buttons" in your Seller Admin, select any product (your View Cart code is the same for all your products) and click Get Button Codes.
