Shopping Cart Translation / Lightbox

Hey there! :-)



I am a happy e-junkie user for quite a while now and you guys surely rock.



I got 2 questions concerning the shoping cart:

I want to use e-junkie in my wordpress blog now - and it would be awesome if the shopping cart could be in German, too, because my site is in German. I read some about automatic language recognition (posts from 2007 and 2009) - how far are things?



Second: Is it possible to open the shopping cart in a lightbox instead of a new window? Some hover over stuff... That would be REALLY nice! :-)

Our standard cart already displays as a lightbox-style overlay "inside" your page; just make sure you have at least one block of your View Cart code on every page that has any number of Add to Carts.



If your page is missing the View Cart code, or if the buyer has javascript disabled in their browser, then the cart buttons will still operate in "fallback mode" by opening the cart in a new window/tab.



We don't have a language localization feature ready yet, but you can customize some of the text labels in our standard overlay-style cart, as explained here:

Hello there I was wondering the same thing... Here is an example...

When you HOVER the mouse over a particular item it says QUICK shop. Then once you CLICK quick shop a Lightbox appears which has the item page in the lightbox.... then once you add the item to your cart the lightbox disappears...is this possible with e-junkie?

It's also possible to make a regular link that displays a non-cart page in the same lightbox, such as a product page, like so:

Awesome purely awesome......THIS SEEMS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FOR MY SITUATION... although i have one more question for the GURU... So as far as the "item's" page I would have to make that my self? then have a regular link or rollover link or whatever using the following code:

Then the items page pops up in the LIGHTBOX... person picks size and quantity then clicks ADD TO CART then is taken to the shopping cart in the same lightbox?



How would the size and quantity information be taken to the next page? Can the shopping cart do this for me?



Cuz what karmaloop has for QUICK SHOP is almost exactly what I am looking for.

That code I provided using EJEJC_show() is only if you wanted to use the cart's lightbox overlay to display other pages unrelated to the cart; that code is not necessary just to use the cart itself in your site.



Once you set up your products in E-junkie Seller Admin, we provide you with ready-made HTML codes for your cart buttons. Each product gets its own Add to Cart button code, and you would also have View Cart code that is unique to you but the same for all your products -- just make sure you paste one block of View Cart code on every page, as that code manages the cart overlay inside your page. You would simply copy the codes from us and paste them into the HTML source of your own Web site pages, wherever you want our buttons to appear among your own layout, text and images.



Buyers would click Add to Cart for the product(s) they want, and then they can pick what quantity they want to order in the cart itself, if you enable "Let Buyer Edit Quantity" in the product's settings. If you want to offer a selection of options such as size, color, etc., you would configure the product using our Variations/Variants feature, which would add option menus and/or text boxes to the Add to Cart button:

GURU my lightbox doesn't work. See the website home page link: tortiousmarketing.com there is a test add to cart there but it only opens a new page vs lightbox.

Ok, I figured that stuff out. BUT how do I get the 'buy now' button to open in the lightbox? this doesn't seem to happen...

PLUS, how do I change the working to 'charge my card' to something like 'I accept'.

Buy Now buttons bypass the shopping cart and take the buyer directly to instant checkout for just one item at a time; therefore, they will not display the cart lightbox in your page.



For security reasons, the secure checkout page that we manage for our sellers' card-based payments cannot be customized.
