Yesterday I added a second ebook and updated all the button codes on my site. But when someone visits for the first time, it still only shows one ebook in the cart. If they revisit and reclick on the shopping cart, then both books show up.

I tried all of the computers here and the same thing happens. When I switch browsers, it does it again, only showing one book until you revisit several times and reclick.

I need to fix this, but I'm out of things to try. TIA.

All online shopping carts are deliberately designed to work just like real-world shopping carts, where each buyer gets their own cart that starts out empty, and then they put items into their cart that they wish to buy. When you go to a real-world store, you aren't given a cart full of everything that store sells and expected to remove the items you don't want before you go to the cashier.

Each buyer's cart will retain any items they'd added to it for up to 24 hours after the last time they viewed their cart. This allows them to browse from page to page and even leave your site and come back later without having to start over building their order from scratch.

It's not possible nor desirable to have every buyer's cart start off holding every item you offer, as that would be disorienting and counter-intuitive to buyers who have ever used a shopping cart online or in real life before, and this confusion may likely lead them to leave your site without buying anything at all.

Thx for reply. My confusion is that the Continue Shopping button boots me out of my site entirely, so I don't see how a buyer could add anything to the shopping cart.

If your page is missing your View Cart code, any Add to Cart buttons on that page would work in "fallback mode" by opening a separate window/tab to display the cart, so in that case the Continue Shopping button would simply close that window/tab, while your site remained open in the original window/tab that whole time. I just replied to you via email, so you can find further details and tips there.
