ctI entered a handling charge of 10% and it's treating it like a flat fee. Are you guys sure this is ready for primetime?
Fixed
ctAlso, UPS Ground shows up without a label in the customer's shipping selection dropdown.
Fixed
ctAfter entering a rule caled "FREE" based on $0 per ounce to the United States. All regular rules that don't even have the optional description field available are being named FREE. It's like even though the description field disappears, it's still being submitted with every new rule.
This was a UI issue. Fixed.
ctI'm on a mac. I click the dropdown arrow for the list of existing shipping rules. Then I use the keyboard arrow keys to scroll through the list. When I find the one I want and press Enter, it submits the form below and either a) creates a new rule based on the settings that may have been changed in the form or b) gives a really strangely worded error when the rule you tried to submit already exists. The original intention of my actions: simply to select an existing rule.
The typo making the error look strangely worded has been fixed. We will change the UI as enter key should doing anything on that screen.
As for the existing rules, they can not be loaded or updated. They can only be deleted.
ctOne question: how do I re-order the list of shipping options that the user sees? Currently, it's showing the most expensive method first (such as Express.) Obviously this is not what I (or they) want. Great features btw.
We'll add an "order" field with each rule so after matching the conditions, multiple methods are shown based on the order specified and not simply the order they were added in.
SCSI have to concur with ct on the issues being seen...this 'new and improved' interface has made my life a living hell trying to get existing codes updated and/or create new ones...why are have my boxes greyed out? Good Grief.
Can you please elaborate the issue. Messages from ct were about shipping, not discounts.

ctI have an item (a sticker) that weighs 0.1oz and ships in an envelope that weighs 0.2oz, for a grand total of 0.3oz. However, the USPS First Class rate I'm getting is $1.22!! USPS.com lists the price at $0.44. The rule being used is USPS Cheapest Available.
Note that our USPS rate lookups always obtain the Package rate (not any other rate such as postcard, letter, large envelope, or large package), and $1.22 would indeed be the First Class rate for a package weight <1 oz. The packing container types in Admin do not affect which rates get looked up; we just assigned those container type names as a handy mnemonic that would be easier to manage rather than giving them all generic names like Container A, B, etc.
Being a software developer, I understand the trouble of trying to get a product 'perfect' before it goes into production. Also being a user of software, I understand the frustration of change and having trouble with something that seems like it should work but isn't quite there.
I just wanted to say thank you to the E-Junkie folks for working hard to make this a better product and for being very open about the status of changes and fixes. For my line of business and how we use the E-Junkie website, the changes have made things MUCH easier.
Cheers.

Yeah, so far I've only encountered the minor bugs I've mentioned. The crux of the features seem to work fine. Took me a bit to fully figure out how the rules were taking precedence over one another, but so far so good. The only thing I have to do is add a "price per ounce" rule that I can use for "letter" rates. (I don't want "package" rates for tiny things.) The only feature I'd say that is definitely missing is the ability to edit/reorder existing rules. I could REALLY use that, especially since all deletions/additions are live.

I concur. Hopefully this will arrive in a future update. I'm guessing it's more complicated for them than just updating one database record for an existing rule otherwise it would probably happen fairly quickly.
Hi there,
I have contacted Support. I thought I would post too - as this may help others and I really do not understand how the new item discount system works.
I want to set up a flat item discount of $7.00 on 3 separate items with the same discount code of Launchpad9. (BTW the option to make this a % discount is greyed out - I can't select it, also the item total field is greyed out).
Background - readers of The Launchpad newsletter get a discount on the 3 new coaching tools (items) introduced this month - until the end of September.
To set this item discount code up against the first item. I select the item. I give it a discount name - Launchpad Subscriber Special. I give it a code - Launchpad9. I put an end time/date. I load the discount. It shows in the list.
I move to my second item and do the same thing. But when I load the discount it says discount UPDATED. Which already suggests it has merely put the discount onto the new item, not given it to both. Only one discount shows in the list with (now) which when you load shows the second item against it. But if you click on the drop down you could select ANY item - which is a little off-putting... Has the discount been applied to ALL items?
Before I could have the same discount name/code against several items - applied at each individual item admin screen. This seems to be a step back in functionality.
How can I now apply a discount code to multiple items?
Do I need to give each one a different Discount Name??? I definitely don't want to have to give my customers 3 different Discount codes to achieve exactly the same discount on 3 same-priced similar products - very messy. Help!
Yours hopefully and confusedly...
Emma-Louise
I have tested the Cheapest / Priority / Express and also the UPS options on our site.
A bug is when I add all 4 as options with all the "levels" at zero so that any order qualifies for any shipment method (to give our customers maximum options) the options drop down box disappears and only 1 rate is calculated. I think it is the UPS rate but I am not sure.
Also, if I take UPS out, it seems to work until I get over 13 oz and then the cheapest rate label goes from 1st Class to Priority. This isn't a bad thing, but it does not take away the other option for Priority also so the customer ends up with 2 options for Priority in their cart. To make matters worse, the rates are not even the same.
I like the improvements, if they worked correctly. I have gone back to the way I had my shipping settings from before until the bugs are worked out.
I also would suggest that shipping options be displayed in a radio button that looks a lot more attractive than the current drop down - it just looks out of place in the otherwise sleek interface.
Thanks for all your hard work E-Junkie! (been waiting a long time for these features)
