I am setting up a shop which applies 3 rates of shipping, depending on country. The 3 zones are country A, country B and rest of World.

Can this be handled by e-junkie? If not, I have seen forum posts a couple of months back saying that improvements to the shipping calculator were on the way - is there any timescale on this and will they accommodate shipping by country?

I see there is a domestic and International rate. It may be possible to simplify the shipping calculation to 2 zones: region C and rest of the world, but region C will have 2 countries. Is it possible for the domestic rate to apply to more than one country and at least allow for 2 regions/bands that way?

Thanks for your time.

At the moment, we can only support 2 shipping regions: Domestic (to destinations in your own country) and International (all destinations outside your own country). We have been working on some upgrades to our Shipping calculation features which may add the ability to define custom rates on a per-country basis in the future.

Our shipping calculations do provide the option to make shipping rules specific to each country now. However, we do not have regional shipping options yet.

You have to understand that it is not possible to make shipping rules for each European country, one at the time. The possibility to have a shipping option to Europe as a whole is something that would really help Europeans sellers using e-junkie and the question has been asked many times on this forum. Back in 2009, it was answered that things were being checked, so I was wondering if it was something on schedule and when.

The trouble with supporting Shipping Rules for broad regions is the variation as to what countries comprise a given region. E.g. "Europe" could mean the entire continent, or just eh EU, or just Western Europe, or just mainland Europe not counting the British Isles, etc.

Typically this is handled by selecting the Shipping Destination countries you will ship to (if you won't ship Worldwide), then creating one Shipping Rule for All Countries, another Rule for your own country, and another Rule for each other country that would be an exception to the Rule you'd created for All Countries.

Rules created for more-specific destinations would override the general Rule, so e.g. the Rule for All Countries would not apply when the buyer selects a country which has its own Rule.

Actually, there are some international postal standards: by Europe (zone A) , it is meant all the countries from the European Union (27 countries today) plus Norway and Switzerland. Shipping costs to those countries are really preferential compared to shipping cost to Rest of the world.

As e-junkie is today, you understand the difficulties for European sellers to make a shipping rule for 29 different countries. You also understand that there is a big demand from all the sellers from the 29 concerned countries to have Europe (EU countries plus Norway and Switzerland) as a shipping destination feature on e-junkie.

From what I read from precedent forums over past years, I think this would be a big improvement and it would most likely attract more non-US sellers. I don´t how many sellers from those 29 countries are using e-junkie, but I want to think it´s not an insignificant market.

To be quite honnest, I´m very happy with e-junkie, but I´m considering leaving it and find another solution because this shipping matter is a real problem,k especially when it comes to multiple orders and you can´t find other ways around.

I hope e-junkie will consider making this improvement any time soon.

Any news or improvement on a Europe region? If it helps, I'd like to let you know that giant ETSY itself add this possibility to their shipping rules.

Regional Shipping

Quickly set shipping costs for multiple countries in a predefined region at one time.

If you set a shipping cost for an individual country above, then the Country Specific Shipping cost will override the Regional Shipping cost for that country.

There you have the choice between

- European Union

- Europe non-EU
