I am wondering if it is possible for a customer to buy a PDF but gift it to someone else within the eJunkie system. This is distinct to sharing a downloaded and unstamped PDF.
Is it doable?

Paul, I am sorry, but we do not have a way for some one to gift a download to someone. What you can do is use a setup like our gift coupons to allow people to purchase a discount code that can be given to some and used for a free download:
