Setting up affiliate for PDF, but not Kindle or Nook

Hello,



I recently created a digital book in PDF, Kindle, and Nook formats. My product website has links to all 3 versions (amazon, B&N, and ejunky for the PDF). I am interested in using the e-junky affiliate program for the PDF download only.



However, if I have the affiliates send potential customers to the front page of my product website, there's a chance that some of the traffic may end up buying the Kindle or Nook versions, which aren't associated with the e-junky account.



What's the best way to handle this? I could set up a special product page just for the PDF affiliates, but there's still some chance people clicking around the site may find and purchase the other versions.

We would suggest using a dedicated page for the PDF version, without any links to other pages on your site where buyers could find a way to purchase the Nook/Kindle version, and set that as the landing page URL for your E-junkie affiliate hop links.



This wouldn't be completely foolproof (e.g., buyers could arrive on the landing page and then manually trim the URL back to your base domain to reach your homepage), but it would minimize the chances that buyers referred by your E-junkie affiliates could wind up placing an order without going through E-junkie.



Offhand, I'm not sure if it might be possible to sell the Kindle and Nook versions as direct downloads from E-junkie as well, without having to refer buyers to Amazon or B&N for purchase of those versions. If so, you could still continue selling them directly on Amazon/B&N as well, in parallel with selling them through E-junkie on your own site, and this would let your E-junkie affiliates earn a commission on all three versions for buyers they refer to your site.

I have several reasons for not offering Nook/Kindle versions as downloads from my website, but the main one is it would lead to a problematic user experience for my target audience.
