I'm trying process Authorizations to PayPal Website Payments Standard. Here is the variable that needs to be passed to PayPal:

<input type="hidden" name="paymentaction" value="authorization">

Can e-Junkie send the variables to PayPal? If so, how would we implement these variables in our code?

I think what you are referencing would be done with the setting in your E-junkie Seller Admin > Payment Preferences > "Only Authorize payments and charge them manually from the payment processor's interface".

7 years later

Yes, you can turn that setting on at Seller Admin > Edit Preferences in the checkbox which reads "Only authorize payments without charging them". We will fill the order and you would manually charge the payment later from within your PayPal account.

Thank you! Would it be possible for ejunkie to fulfil it after I authorized? I can guess the answer, but just checking..

Unfortunately, we do not have any way to process orders at a delay after the buyer places their order. If you could explain what you intended to do with that, we might be able to suggest a different approach -- e.g., you can take pre-orders and deliver a download link for them later.
