Hi,



I have a question about affiliation program.



If a prospect buys a product of mine via the affiliate link on one of my partener, I will have to pay him 50% (as i set it) of the sells, ok. But what if the prospect buys another product few days later without clicking the affiliate link again but just by buying it on my website ? Will I have to pay my partener again ?



I need to set my program as only the first sell will pay my partener, but then it stops.



Im asking you because i heard that default program is for 6 month long, meaning that if a prospect click via an affiliation link, any payement from him will make me owe my partener 50% of it for 6 month. Is that correct ?



If yes, is there any way to set it as i want ?

It is possible to change the length of the affiliate cookie, but we have it set for this amount of time intentionally, specifically to award affiliates for bringing you repeat buyers, or for buyers who don't purchase immediately but return later. If you would like to change the time the cookie lasts, enter the number of days you want the cookie to last after the hop-link for your affiliate settings.



For example, if your hop-link is www.mysite.com/store and you want the cookie to last only one month you would enter the following as your hop-link:



http://www.mysite.com/store 30



Be sure to have a space between your link and the number of days.

Yes, that is that correct way to have it setup if you want the cookie to only last for five days.
