Selling digital goods

Hi I’m new here and I’m just wondering if I can sell digital goods on ebay. After successfully paying send e-junkies the customer a Mail with a downlodlink to a unique serialnumber. If the customer open this link, I need to track his IP address.

Is this possible to track the customers IP address?
