"Secure HTTPS connection" Message in IE8 / Purchase Follow Through?

I send a direct buy link via email to my customers. One customer informs me that he receives the following message in IE8:



"Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?

This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS

connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage."



How can I avoid this ? I'm concerned with scaring away purchase follow through as well as just keeping things as simple as possible for my low tech customers. I had thought that any link with a https would not trigger such a message ? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Our Cart and Buy Now button URLs should not normally produce any security warnings, and just to be sure, I retested some standard Cart and Buy Now links and checked the HTML source of our cart window to confirm there is no content being loaded insecurely via normal HTTP in our cart.



If you could provide us with the "direct buy link" that you're sending to prospective buyers, we can test that link in particular or recommend a better way of sending purchase links. Feel free to post that link in reply here, or just send it in an email to Support:

You know - I have a jpg company letterhead sent with my PayPal invoice. Hmmm... just thought of that. Probably the problem right ?

I just checked that link and had the same alert pop-up, and yes, it does appear to be that the jpg is the issue--it's being served through http:// and not https://



You can upload your logo through E-junkie and we should be able to automatically apply it to your PayPal checkout page as a secure link--to have the ability to upload your logo you will need to join our Reseller program but that doesn't cost you anything and could also earn you some extra money. :)
