From the affiliates tab, I can only browse the full list of merchants. The search feature barely works for me - unless you know the name of the product already. I remember being being able to drill down by categories at one point, but I can't find the link and those categories were extreeeemly incomplete at the time.

How about giving affiliates an easier way to search for merchants to promote?

We're working on a tag-based replacement for the old categories system.

Most affiliates join a merchant's program by clicking the sign-up link on the merchant's own Web site. If you clicked such a link, you should not need to search for the merchant in our system -- that merchant should already show up in your Get Affiliate Codes > Select Merchant menu, and if they didn't get added in there, just click their link again.

looking forward to the tags. I know how it's currently done, but looking for programs I don't already know about

Just joined this afternoon and need to bring this topic back to the top.

As the original poster noted, it's too cumbersome to browse the whole list of affiliate programs and the search function isn't helpful unless you're armed with some very specific keywords. Many keywords I've tried have yielded seven or eight pages of non-relevant results.

I did arrive at e-junkie through a vendor's link (as you say most people do). But now that I'm here, I'd like to choose other products to promote as well. But without categories, it's too daunting a task.

Thanks for considering this request.
