I would like to run some tests on download and purchasing. how to do so and what might be the approximate time to download a 25mb file?

You can set product price to 0 and use our cart buttons to buy it. Alternatively you can send yourself a free link from E-junkie Seller Admin.
Download speed depends on various factors, most of which are beyond our control (your internet connection speed, health of route between your location and our server etc.) so I can't give you an estimate of the time required to download a file.
