I have been asked to restrict sales so that we do not sell to EU countries or Northern Ireland. This is because we cannot comply with a new EU regulation (General Product Safety Regulation), as we do not have a representative in the EU.

I can select the countries I allow shipping to, but there is no 'Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland)'.

Please could you add this as a new 'Country' that can be chosen in the 'Limit Shipping Destinations' list.

Thank you

I will ask our Devs if they can add that, but it may not be feasible, nor would there be any way to enforce that -- i.e., a Northern Irish buyer could still just select Great Britain and input their NI shipping address details anyway, so you'd still need to watch for any such orders and refund them.

Our list of countries for shipping (and tax) calculation just replicates what the US Postal Service supports for live-rate lookups, so most likely any "Great Britain (excl. Northern Ireland)" we could add would have to be just a differently-labeled but functional-duplicate of the existing "United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland)" entry.

Our Devs confirm what I suspected; unfortunately, it won't be possible to add a country selection for "Great Britain (excl. Northern Ireland)" because there is no standard ISO country code for that distinct from GB for "United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland)", and the way our country list is maintained does not allow for multiple entries using the same ISO country code.

The best alternative I can suggest would be adding some custom text to your cart explaining that due to EU regulations you cannot ship to Northern Ireland. You can specify this in your E-junkie Dashboard under Cart Preferences, where you'd enter your custom text (basic HTML tags for bold/italics/links are also supported here) in the User Text field.
