I have never had an issues dowloading my transaction reports and opeing them with Excel. When I ran it for June, the report has a number of fields all together. That is to say, not in their own column. I have run and rerun the reports and every time the same thing.

HELP

Thanks

After you download the log view, when you unzip the file to open in Excel, make sure you are specifying "tab-delimited values" if Excel asks for the data format (rather than comma-separated or anything else).

1 year later

I am having this same problem. I have downloaded my log in the past with no problem. But suddenly the logs are not tab delineated. And I have specified this in Excel.

Any ideas on how to get it to separate the info?

Thank you!

I tested a log download just now, unzipped that and found the resulting file is tab-delimited. I found this help page explaining how to import a delimited file into Excel (select "tab" as the delimiter in Step 3):

Well, that worked beautifully. :)

Thank you so much, Tyson. I really appreciate your time.

By the way, if anyone else out there need this tutelage as well, when you go to save your new delimited Excel file, be sure to click SAVE AS and choose Excel Workbook THEN rename the file; meaning, don't just click SAVE AS to rename the file. It's a sure fire way to go crazy.
