I've always used HTTP link version for all remote product URLs. For a new product I'm releasing I want to start using HTTPS link for remote product link URL.

I use Rackspace and it gives me an option to grab HTTPS or HTTP link for the same file.

Should I be aware of any issues switching to HTTPS links instead of HTTP?
Or will nothing change and it will work the same way.

This is probably a very obvious question but I just want to make sure before I start the product launch just to avoid any issues.

Remote Product File URLs using either http: or https: should work fine. Just take care that the URL points directly to the file itself -- i.e., not to a download page for the file -- and ends in the actual filename.

Using an HTTPS link is highly recommended as it is considered secure by google. If you will use an HTTP file may it get damage
