I have one product that if you buy multiples of the product, the price is reduced.

First bottle is at regular price $35, the remaining bottles are at $25 each.

I think I am seeing the area where to create this (defining variants?) but I am just not understanding how to do it.

I want to be able to have a drop down menu so the person can select item number one, then chose how many other items they want. (although I'm open for other ways to do this - maybe a click menu? I just don't know my options).

menu:

Family member 1 $35

Family member 2 $25

Family member 3 $25

Family member 4 $25

Family member 5 $25

thank you for your help

That might be possible with variants, but another way is to use automatic discounts that only kick in when certain amounts are ordered.

You can do this via Seller Admin > Add/Edit E-junkie Cart Discounts. Create a discount with the following settings:

Product: Select the product this discount applies to

Discount Name: Give the discount a unique name for internal tracking, this does not get displayed to the buyer.

Discount Code: Leave this field blank so that the discount applies automatically when its conditions are met (don't forget: if you don't set conditions, the discount will apply to every order).

Min Item Quantity: 2

Discount: 10.00 (product discounts are locked on the flat setting)

This discount will take automatically $10 off the price of the product as long as two or more are ordered.

thanks for the clear instructions

I followed everything but I am finding a problem.

I wish to have the regular price on the first bottle, and each additional bottle be $10 off.

When I tested a sale, each bottle, including the first one, received $10 off.

So when I ordered 3 bottles, the order total was $75 rather than $85.

I'm not sure how I can change that.

Product-specific discounts can only alter the per-unit original price of the product, so when the discount's Min. Item Qty. threshold is met, the first unit would be discounted the same as the second, etc. Taking $10 off only the second unit would be the same as taking $5 off both units, so you might consider making it a discount of $5.00 off the price of every unit on orders of 2 or more units.
