Quick question,how do affiliate program works technically?

i know it is when someoneA refer someoneB to buy my product,and i pay commissions to someoneA, but how do i know the sale is made from a refer soneoneB ?



for example, personA make website sale my product, and PersonB Click it go to my site and ,after enter my site and made purchase, from the affiliate link to my website, how do e-junkie keep tracking personB made this sale?

When the buyer clicks on the affiliate's hop link a cookie is added to the buyer's web browser. When the buyer then orders a product, our system picks up that browser cookie and knows which affiliate sent the order and record it. Our system will include this information in the order data that you can review by going to Seller Admin>View/Download Transaction log.
