Question about number of products/variants

I'm looking for a new cart system for my website www.RockItPro.com but had a question about the number of products and variants.



What I do on my site is license my rap beats for $30 per beat. I have over 250 beats on my site and each beat would need it's own Add To Cart button...and I would also like to add other purchasing options on the checkout page for each beat once they've added one to their cart, for example "ADD tracked out beat files - $9.99"



My question...would each beat and each additional option be considered a product or would each beat be considered a variant of a $30 License? Since the price is the same for each beat. Kind of hard to explain, I hope you understand.

If each beat is a separate download file, you would need to create a separate product for each file. Variants cannot be used to change which file is provided as a download for the same base product. You can, however, use Variants to set different prices (e.g. different licensing terms and fees) for the same file download:

You can add custom HTML to the cart, such as a link to another page or even Add to Cart button code for a given product, and even change what is shown in the cart from one page of your site to the next:
