Maybe somebody who is marketing ebooks in the pdf format can help a non-tech damsel in distress.
I’ve been working on converting my Ebook Writers ebooks (look good but couldn’t get them published) to word and now to PDF. I am using the PDF Pro 10 software.
Getting the books converted to the pdf works fine.
The problem is that my books are long, some over 400 pages (8 x 11). The problem will be for the buyer to navigate throughout the book.
The PDF 10 has bookmarks that work fine, but the list is displayed on the left of the ebook itself.
This software also has a link feature (link within the pdf file itself, but that isn’t working and things get really messed up).
Question? Is anybody familiar with this software? Will bookmarks that are on the left of the file display in other readers such as Acrobat?
What are some of you using to create your PDF’s? There are many things about using Acrobat to create my ebooks that I don’t want to deal with.
I read the EJ PDF about the security features. I’ll tackle that after I get this resolved.
Thanks a bunch!!!
