Hi,



I've just setup a bunch of download products and have also selected my other products in the "Promote your other products" menu, but for the life of me I can't find where they show up in the ordering process. I'm using some custom HTML in the Common Thank-you page and no product-specific or redirect thank-you pages. I've also setup all of these products in the E-Junkie store, and they are all showing up just fine.



Where are these cross-promoted products supposed to show up? I could find any help here or in the help section about this.

Ah, sorry for that; you appear to have everything set up correctly, but Development just confirmed they've taken that feature offline temporarily while they renovate some related back-end functions. I've just added a notice to that effect on the help page for that feature. :^)

Thanks for letting me know, but since I can't see how the function is supposed to work, and assuming that it's coming back, can you please tell me where exactly the cross-promoted items will appear? Just like with the custom thank you HTML, the instructions don't say where things will appear in relation to the download codes (above, below, etc.). It makes a difference and I'd like to set up the items now but know how they will look when the functionality comes back online. Also, is there any ETA on when it will be back?

Cross-promoted products would appear as a bulleted list of linked product names at the very end of the thank-you page, after the purchased item(s) and any custom thank-you page HTML you've added. Development has not provided an ETA when the cross-promo feature would be restored or if it may yet be modified to improve functionality.



Meanwhile, you might consider customizing your thank-you page to add links to product pages on your site, or you could even put Cart or Buy Now buttons directly on the thank-you page itself. If you'd want the same batch of links or buttons to appear for every sale, the best place for those would be in your Common Thank-you Page HTML field (in Seller Admin > Account Preferences).

Good tips re adding the other buttons - they wouldn't be smart enough to know what was in the current order, but might still be a nice extra.

Actually, that feature has been deprecated and will be removed entirely from the new Seller Admin we're putting the finishing touches on right now. It actually was never very popular due to the clumsy way it worked -- it only suggested products after the buyer had already completed a purchase, and could only link to E-junkie Shop pages rather than sales pages on your own site.



Once the new Seller Admin is launched, that will allow us to start adding new features again, so we may reconsider a new approach to cross-promotion eventually and will keep that on the wishlist.
