My product content exceeds the the 500MB limit. In such a case, it suggests using an external server to upload the file, but doesn't explain how to go about it. Any suggestions?
If your file is over 500 MB the most cost effective solution is to store the file on an outside server. Paying for your own hosting is much cheaper than paying for that much data to be stored on our servers permanently, in fact it may not even cost you anything. Any regular hosting service online will do, just avoid one-click file hosts like Rapidshare or Mediafire because they don't actually give you a real link to files that you upload to their servers. We can recommend using DreamHost or Amazon S3, both of those are hosts that we work with ourselves for storing files. You can find a coupon for DreamHost on our resources page here:http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/resources.htmAmazon S3 is very reliable and has low prices, you might even be able to use their free usage tier:http://aws.amazon.com/free/Once you've uploaded your files to your own host all you need to do on this end is enter the URL of your file into your product configuration instead of uploading it.
